Twelve cards
A new deck opens every day. When they run out, they run out: tomorrow there are twelve new ones.

Say if you knew it
Right if you already knew it, left if you didn’t. Nothing else to do.

What you didn’t know comes back
Every four cards a true-or-false question turns up about a fact you have already read. Get it wrong and it returns in three days; get it right and it returns in a month.
The streak
It counts a day when you read a card. That’s the whole rule.
The difference
Every fact carries its source
No “people say” and no screenshots off social media. Every card carries a reference you can go and check, and you see it when you open the card, next to the explanation.
Facts come with a verified source; answers from the AI do not.

The same card played as true or false. When you answer it flips and shows you the fact.

With someone
Playing with someone
The full deck
One on one, in turns, with whoever you like and each of you whenever you open the app. You flip a card, answer true or false, and three right in a row let you win a topic or take one off your opponent. Whoever completes half a deck wins.
Fact duel
Two people, one phone and ten rounds. No account and no connection to anyone needed.
The full deck asks you to sign in — it is how the app knows whose turn it is — and a display name is required to play, because it is the only thing the other person will see.
There is no chat, no groups, no messages and nothing to post. Any opponent can be blocked and reported. Read the community guidelines.

€1.99 a month, with a 3-day free trial. It is charged to your Apple account when the trial ends, it renews automatically every month unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and it can be managed and cancelled from your Apple account settings. The price and the currency you see are the ones the App Store shows you.

The ones people ask most
Do I have to pay?
No. The twelve cards a day in both modes, the quiz, the streak, the duel and the challenges are free for good. Premium opens five more things.
Do I need an account?
Not to read: the app works in full without one. You only need an account to play online with someone, and always through Sign in with Apple.
Is there an Android or a web version?
No. FactShot is an app for iPhone and iPad, and there is no other version of it.
Where do the facts come from?
From a card bank that is written and checked. Every card carries the reference it came from, and you can go and look it up.
What does the AI do, and what does it not do?
There is a row for asking it whatever you like about the card you have open. Facts come with a verified source; answers from the AI do not.
Can I play with someone?
Yes, two ways: the full deck, one on one in turns, and the fact duel, two people on one phone. There is no chat, and any opponent can be blocked and reported.
How do I delete my account?
From inside the app, in Profile ▸ Your account ▸ “Delete account”. You do not have to write to anyone.
